TABLE TOPS, COUNTER TOPS AND BAR TOPS
We make table-tops, counter tops, and bar tops using FSC certified solid wood and reclaimed wood, including reclaimed fir, reclaimed hardwood, and live edge maple. We build to order, in custom size and quantity required.
Our table-tops are available in the following materials:
RECLAIMED FIR: We use salvaged floor joists and floor planks reclaimed from canneries, warehouses, and other early 20th century industrial buildings; dimensional lumber with natural rustic patina, available in thicknesses ranging from one to three inches.
FSC CERTIFIED WIDE PLAN SUGAR PINE: This material is milled to specification at 2” x 12” x 16ft long, allowing us to build very large-scale tables. We have chosen this material for being one of the most sustainable woods available, and for its amazing stability (resistance to warping, cracking, and shrinking). The wide planks create a dramatic effect with our tabletops, with each top being made of only four or five planks. The planks rough sawn, and the tabletops are hand sanded to retain the natural saw marks and undulations.
FSC CERTIFIED WESTERN MAPLE: We offer Maple it in thicknesses up to 2” thick and 10 feet in length. Western maple is a durable material, it is considered a “semi-hardwood”, and an economical choice where a harder wood and more formal look is desired.
RECLAIMED HARDWOOD FROM PACKING CRATES: Re-purposed from mid-century over seas packing crates, the material is typically stager jointed and applied to a substrate to create table-tops.
SALVAGED NATURAL EDGE MAPLE: We source and mill live edge western maple to order. Salvaged from cut blocks on Vancouver Island where fir and cedar logging operations leave this product behind, we can acquire a variety of slab sizes.
All tops are available in our standard finishes:
Natural | Honey Brown | Cognac| Walnut | Charcoal Brown | Faded Grey | Charcoal
Out table-tops are protected by the same high quality finishes as our line of tables. We combine industry leading finishing products with our special techniques to create natural looking hand rubbed finishes that will stand up to the rigors of commercial use, with high resistance to heat, moisture, marring, and chemical cleaners.
