The Urban Settler was founded in North Vancouver British Columbia in 1998 by owner Paul Arcoite. The company specialized in sourcing & restoring antique furniture, and the designing & manufacturing of reclaimed wood furniture & feature walls. In addition to local custom work, the company supplied retailers, architects, and designers across western Canada, and became well known for its work in restaurant and hospitality décor.
In 2012 The Urban Settler opened a furnishings & interior design store in Fernie British Columbia. The company permanently moved its operations to Fernie in 2015, making its home the historic Livery Building in downtown Fernie.
The company now specializes in residential interior
décor, design, and furnishings.
