The Urban Settler has supplied reclaimed wood feature walls, tables and table tops, commercial rated chairs and bar stools, bar tops and counter tops, millwork and cabinetry, to over 150 Starbucks locations across western Canada.
Here are a few of our favourites!
Kiosk Location Chinook Mall Calgary Alberta:
This project involved a system of reclaimed wood timbers to create a timber framed kiosk, and reclaimed wood wall cladding on all exterior walls and counter fronts.
Market Mall West:
On this project we used reclaimed hardwoods salvaged from old packing crates for wall cladding, live edge maple for counter tops, and reclaimed corrugated roofing for wall and ceiling treatments. This LEED certified store won the 2012 ICSC Canadian Shopping Centre Award for best new store design!
Western Canada PlaceAbsolutely one of our favorites! The design is as sophisticated as coffee shops go, and could pass as a fine bistro! We created panels from antique tin roof tiles to line the walls. Upholstered booths with high top tables, and a large vintage inspired community table with reclaimed fir top provided plenty of seating for peak times.
Whistler Village North
Yes there are three Starbucks locations in Whistler, and we supplied beautiful woodwork to all three locations, but Village North was the prettiest!
This busy Squamish location was one of the first Starbucks renovations that we were involved in. The reclaimed fir tongue and groove feature wall and industrial style table were big hits, and positively made the coffee taste amazing.
Marda Loop Calgary
In this design we incorporated the same antique tin panels as Western Canada Place, but we used them as a ceiling treatment to hide unsightly HVAC and electrical work.
Reclaimed hardwood feature walls and table tops, upholstered booths, and white marble table tops finished off the tailored look we were going for.
