◄Client Brief

Our clients wanted a fireplace renovation for their family home in Fernie BC that would become the focal point of their living room.

◄Urban Settler Planning and Approach 

The design started with inspirational photos provided by the homeowners. We worked with Elk River Mountain homes, and Fernie Fireplace to create this beautiful fireplace feature wall of masonry and reclaimed wood millwork. 

We used a piece of live edge fir for the mantle; it was naturally rustic, with wormholes and traces of the bark edge. Natural stone and reclaimed wood, there is no better combination! The stonemason did a beautiful job, and the woodwork looked as though it “grew” out of the rock!
